Rehabilitación neurocognitiva
ADHD is the most common neuropsychiatric development disorder, occurs in childhood and is characterized by lack of attention, impulsivity and hyperactivity; accompanied by changes in mood, anxiety and socialization problems. The global prevalence has been estimated at 5.3% and until recently it was thought that it was limited to childhood, but its continuation in adolescence and adulthood is no longer in doubt.
Currently we have more precise methods of diagnosis and treatment that do not necessarily involve the use of a drug, such as Neurocognitive Rehabilitation, Psychoeducation and Behavioral and Emotional Therapies. It is important to remember that an early approach to this clinical condition avoids complications in adulthood.
